A guitar virtuoso from Malaysia he made his stamp in the Malaysian music history books by winning first the Yamaha Guitar Fest in 1977 and the Bakat TV variety contest in 1975. He was a member of the infamous band “Made in Malaysia” and was the guitarist/musical director of “Asiabeat”.
He has been a regular performer since the 70’s stretching from the Rock to the jazz scene in Malaysia and Singapore not just as a guitarist but as a singer as well. He is now a household name in the region.
A following quote from the newspaper The Malay Mail best describes his musical status.
“… had Paul been born an American, he would be up there with the alternative A-team – Satriani, Vai and the rest of the lock and load hit men – signing record deals, endorsing Gibsons and producing for the superstars. He is that good.”
